How to Force Update Applications in Windows 8

Usually, to update Windows 8 apps (Metro apps), just open the Windows Store from the Start screen and click on the “Updates” link to see which apps needs an update. However, if an app not offered update, but you know it has an update (for example, the recent update to the in-built People App, Mail and Calendar App) you can force update the app.
How to force update Windows 8 apps?

- Firstly, open the Windows Store and go to Settings in the Charm bar.

- Select App Updates.

- Click “Check for updates”, then select which apps you want to update. Press install and your apps should get updated.
