There are numerous applications out there that perform file encryption, but securely sending or storing data can be tricky if you don't have a robust security infrastructure.
With Sophos Free Encryption, you can create password-protected encrypted archives so you can share confidential data quickly and easily by e-mail.
The program is very simple to use. After installation, just drag and drop any file (s) into the program window (or simply by a right clicking on a file) and click “Save’ button, enter a password and select a target to save your encrypted file.
There are some options to select such as Compress data (suitable for sending large files via email), deleting source file after encrypting (for safety), etc.
You can also create encrypted self-extracting executables, but on my test it gives bad result. Download Sophos Free Encryption. [Via - Stadt]
