McAfee has developed a new Stinger which is specifically targeting such "FakeAlert" threats being seen in the wild.
Stinger is a free, standalone cleaning utility for removing specific known viruses from your computer.
This new Stinger detects and removes the following "FakeAlert" Variants - Kryptik, AVP Security, Fakespypro, Winwebsec, Antivirus Soft and XPSpy.
As usual, before removing any viruses from your computer, don’t forget to disable system restore point.
