If your computer is not able to run the Vista version of Movie Maker, you can download and install the old Windows Movie Maker 2.6 on your Vista machine. It is useful, mainly because no other such a good freeware movie maker is available(?) for creating small movies at home (Pinnacle Video Spin is a free Movie maker, but required 64/128Mb graphic card).
When opening Movie maker on Vista, if you get an error message "Windows Movie Maker cannot start because your video card does not support the required level of hardware acceleration or hardware acceleration is not available", just download version 2.6 and install it.
Check your movie maker, if you get the above mentioned message, download Windows Movie Maker 2.6 and install it.
